Caring For Your Bath Linens

To keep your bath linens fresh, vibrant, and soft, follow these care guidelines.

Initial Washing

All new cotton towels, mats, and rugs require an initial wash before use. This step serves two important purposes:

1. Enhances hygiene
2. Remove any loose fibres that may be present, especially in terry towels and open-end rugs.

Initial Linting

As these linens are crafted from natural cotton yarns, you may notice some linting during the initial wash. This is perfectly normal for all cotton products, as it can result from loose fibres remaining from the manufacturing process. Depending on the cotton yarn construction, some towels or tufted rugs may require a few washes to remove these loose fibres and 'stabilise' the linen. Please don't be alarmed; this is an expected part of the break-in process.

Initial Colour Bleed

Dark-coloured bath linens may experience some colour bleed during the initial washes. To set the colours and minimise any potential fading, wash them separately and use cold water for these initial washes.
